Why this matters
Too many alerts create noise.
When everything looks important:
- reps ignore notifications
- response time slows
- good leads get missed
Quality beats quantity.
How filtering works
Use tags and rules to control which visitors trigger Slack alerts:
Examples:
- ICP matches
- key industries
- decision-maker roles
Only tagged visitors are sent.
Everyone else stays out.
Best practices
- Send only Hot Leads to Slack
- Require multiple ICP conditions
- Revisit tagging rules quarterly
- Exclude internal domains
- Restrict collection to high-intent pages
Where to configure it
Hot Leads: Dashboard → Visitors → Hot Leads → Tag Rules
Quick win
If your channel feels noisy, tighten filters first before changing process.
